Central Falls Is No More

These images are from an area of Rhode Island, Central Falls, that is truly depressing. It is economically lost, the factories have all closed and there is a disturbing number of liquor stores in this relatively small area. It is full of interesting restaurants and has a great Dominican grocer, but its glory days are well behind it. These shots are from a few of the abandoned warehouse buildings that dot the town.

B&W Providence

These shots are from the first roll I shot with my Pentax MX, a replacement camera for my forgotten Pentax K1000. The light was especially beautiful that day and the images are very crisp because of it. Also interesting is the house in the middle is in the same state of repair as when I first photographed it in October 2008.
