These images are from a new series I started last week. I have decided to photograph some of the Rhode Island businesses that still rely heavily on hand work and older machinery. These professions might be dying out or they could be specialty industries that they haven't been able to invent a robot for yet.
This is a small selection from my first stop, Wayland Square Shoe & Luggage Repair. I haven't posted all of the images from the visit as I would like to eventually pitch the series to a magazine. More shops to come soon.
